The WWSF is an international, humanitarian, and non-governmental organization with UN consultative status.
Your membership and support are crucial to sustaining these annual empowerment programs and initiatives, which are designed to create a more just and peaceful world for All. We welcome you to join us in this vital work.
Since its creation on March 8, 1991, our work has been dedicated to serving the implementation of women's and children's rights.
We focus on several key areas, including:
-
Empowering rural women worldwide to become leaders in their communities. We aim to raise awareness of their human rights to equality, peace, education, and healthcare, thereby helping to eradicate rural poverty.
-
Preventing violence and abuse against children through global campaigns and initiatives. By mobilizing a coalition of NGOs, governments, and media, we educate the public on effective prevention measures and protective skills.
-
Empowering 75% of the World Population, women, youth and children through Leadership Training Forums and other WWSF initiatives. WWSF convened a global women’s workshop in Dakar (Senegal) to assess how 75 % of the world population, women & children, are fairing in the different development paths around the world, and announced in its “Declaration 75% ” that women and children clearly have been politically and socially excluded from the rewards of development.
