Introduction to the WWSF 75% Campaign origin (1994)
WWSF convened a global Women’s Workshop in 1994, in Dakar, Senegal, to assess how 75% of the world population, women, youth, and children, are faring across various development paths worldwide. The outcome was a Call to Action: the Dakar "Declaration 75%", which clearly stated that "women and children continue to be politically and socially excluded from the rewards of development", and the Declaration highlighted the need to implement pathways for their inclusion.
