Men and women committed to end violence against women.
Violence against women is probably the most frequent - and usually unpunished - crime on the surface of the planet. In peaceful little Switzerland (only 7,8 million inhabitants) two women are killed each month by their spouse or companion. In February 2009, WWSF launched the White Ribbon - Campaign Switzerland, which aims at preventing and reducing violence against women. On November 25 - International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women - WWSF organizes an annual conference on the theme “Men and women unite to prevent violence against women.”
Conference reports are published on the website www.white-ribbon.ch
